A perfusion assessment system (105) is proposed. The system includes means(705-735) for providing an echo-power signal indicative of a perfusion of acontrast agent in a body-part under analysis, the contrast agent beingadministered as a bolus and undergoing a significant destruction during apassage of the contrast agent in the body- part, means (740;755-767) forassociating the echo-power signal to a model function including the productbetween a bolus function indicative of the passage of the contrast agentwithout said destruction and a reperfusion function indicative of areperfusion of the contrast agent in the body part following the destructioncorresponding to a substantially constant inflow of the contrast agent, andmeans (738;743) for estimating at least one perfusion indicator from the bolusfunction and/or the reperfusion function.
