The present invention is aimed at making an improved disposable diaper which provides the required fitting of the disposable diaper to users body, in particular, to a region between buttocks and legs. The disposable diaper comprises a front sheet element (2) and a rear sheet element (3) passing parallel to each other in a transverse direction X, a perineal sheet element (4) passing in a longitudinal direction Y and affixed to the front sheet element and a rear sheet element, wherein the transverse dimension of the perineal sheet element (4) is less than the transverse dimensions of the front and rear sheet elements, and is characterized in that the front and rear sheet elements are provided with elastic elements (6), surrounding the waist, affixed thereto in a stretched position in the transverse direction, opposite side edges, passing in the longitudinal direction on both sides of the perineal sheet element, parallel to each other, at least, when the disposable diaper is flatly developed and the visible width of the perineal sheet element, measured in the transverse direction, after free shortening of the elastic elements, surrounding the waist, wherein the specified perineal sheet element freely shortens, greater at the border B2 with the rear sheet element, than at the border B1 with the front sheet element.
