The utility model relates to a portable poultry cage that comprises an assemblable main body defined by modular openwork-structured panel members, preferably made of plastic material, adjoined together along their respective abutting edges in assembly, forming preferably a generally box-type enclosure. The main body has a front panel member that is provided with sufficiently sized openings to accommodate the hens head during feeding, a main opening with a closeable cover, and a downwardly disposed egg opening, allowing eggs laid to pass through. A bottom panel member is also provided thereto, having an extended portion with an upwardly bended free end portion, outwardly projecting from with respect to the front panel member to accommodate collection of eggs laid. Preferably, the cage is mounted in a forwardly and downwardly inclined position on a cage-supporting stand such that the bottom panel is also in the same inclined position, allowing the eggs laid to freely roll and come out of the cage through the egg opening.
