A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are disclosed. According to embodiments of the present invention, the mobile terminal comprises a wireless communication unit receiving a biometric signal of a user from a wearable device that can be put on a specific body part； and a control unit checking a state of the user based on the received biometric signal if a morning alarm time is set on the terminal.
