A pharmaceutical liquid formulation for delivering nicotine in any form to asubject by trans dermal uptake for treating tobacco dependence and similar conditions,said formulation being a medicated body lotion, medicated body balm or medicatedbody gel. Also contemplated is a method for delivery of nicotine, a method forthe reduction of the urge to smoke or use tobacco as well as methods for manufacturingsaid liquid formulation, the use of said liquid formulation for obtaining transdermal uptake of nicotine through the skin of a subject, and use of nicotine forthe production of a liquid formulation for the treatment of a disease selectedfrom the group consisting of tobacco or nicotine dependence, Alzheimersdisease, Crohns disease, Parkinsons disease, Tourettessyndrome and ulcerous colitis, and for post-smoking-cessation weight control.
