This document provides methods and materials for delivering agents to liver tissue. For example, methods and materials for using microbeads to deliver agents (e.g., chemotherapeutic agents) to liver tissue are provided. As described herein, agents can be administered to the portal vein of a mammal (e.g., a human) in a manner that allows the agent to travel to portal venules of the liver where they can be trapped and remain while the agent is slowly released over time.L'invention concerne des procédés et des matériaux pour administrer des agents à un tissu hépatique.
