PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further downsize an applicator.SOLUTION: The applicator, which is an applicator for applying microneedles to a skin, comprises a transmission member which moves with an urging force of an urging mechanism to transmit the urging force to the microneedle a disconnection area which fixes the transmission member opposite the skin, against the urging force and a release mechanism which parallelly moves the whole of the disconnection area or the transmission member in a release direction crossing the moving direction of the transmission member and thereby releases the fixed transmission member.
