The back surface sheet 3 and the absorber 4 are joined to each other in a region other than the longitudinal direction expansion region Q. An expansion rate at a load of 25 cN of an article lateral direction central part piece, cut out from the absorbent article, in the longitudinal direction X is 15% or more, and the expansion rate at a load of 25 cN of an article lateral direction side part piece, cut out from the absorbent article, in the longitudinal direction X is 10% or less.
