PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication device capable of performing biometric authentication considering a health condition in one aspect, since there have been problems that, in order to prevent misidentification of a patient to be subjected to a surgical operation in an operation room of a hospital, biometric authentication using patients palm is implemented, however there is the case that a patient carried into the operation room is temporarily physically disabled by influences of anesthesia and a motion of the palm may be restricted thereby it is not easy to spread the palm of the patient carried into the operation room to a biometric authentication device, so that a conventional biometric authentication device using a palm has a problem that biometric authentication cannot be appropriately performed on a person who is temporarily physically disabled.SOLUTION: In accordance with a health condition of a user of a biometric authentication service, a biometric portion to be used for biometric authentication is specified, and while using registered biometric information corresponding to the biometric portion registered for the user, biometric authentication processing is implemented regarding biometric information inputted by the user.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】病院の手術室において、手術対象である患者の取り違えを防止する為に、患者の手のひらを用いる生体認証が行われている。しかし、手術室に運ばれた患者は、例えば、麻酔の影響により一時的に体が不自由となり、手のひらの動きが制限されている場合がある。このため、手術室に運ばれた患者の手のひらを生体認証装置に対して広げてかざすことは容易でない。従って、従来の手のひらを用いる生体認証装置では、体が一時的に不自由な人に対して、生体認証を適切に行えないという課題がある。1つの側面では、本発明は、健康状態に配慮した生体認証を行える生体認証装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】生体認証サービスの利用者の健康状態に応じて、生体認証において用いる生体部位を特定し、該利用者について登録された該生体部位に対応する登録生体情報を用いて、該利用者によって入力された生体情報についての生体認証処理を行う。【選択図】図6
