PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical silage preparation additive useful for prevention of butyric acid fermentation and aerobic deterioration of silage to provide a method for preparing silage enabling prevention of both of butyric acid fermentation and aerobic deterioration of the silage conventionarily regarded as difficult and to provide a silage preparation kit.SOLUTION: The silage preparation additive comprises a homo-type fermented lactobacillus having reuterin-producing ability, glycerol and vitamin B12. The method for preparing silage comprises using the silage preparation additive.
