The invention relates to a bioinert body having a base body, which grows to amultiple ofits volume when hydrated. The base body substantially consists of driedlaminaria parts,which also develop a local antibacterial effect due to the iodine content. Thebioinert bodyis suitable for application in a method of tissue augmentation.
