The present invention relates to a polymer comprising the following monomers in polymerized form (in weight %): A) 49 - 60 % of a first monomer which is selected from the group consisting of methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, C3-alkyl acrylate, C3-alkyl methacrylate, C4-alkyl acrylate, C4-alkyl methacrylate and mixtures thereof, B) 30 - 40 % methacrylic acid, C) 4 -15 % acrylic acid, and D) 0.02-0.30 % of a crosslinking agent which is a compound having at least two allyl moieties, wherein the sum of the amounts of monomers A to D is 100 %. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a hair styling composition comprising the polymer and to the use of the polymer or of the hair styling composition for styling hair.La présente invention concerne un polymère comprenant les monomères suivants sous forme polymérisée (en % en poids) : A) 49 à 60 % d'un premier monomère qui est choisi dans le groupe constitué par l'acrylate de méthyle, le méthacrylate de méthyle, l'acrylate d'éthyle, le méthacrylate d'éthyle, l'acrylate d'alkyle en C3, le méthacrylate d'alkyle en C3, l'acrylate d'alkyle en C4, le méthacrylate d'alkyle en C4 et leurs mélanges, B) 30 à 40 % d'acide méthacrylique, C) 4 à 15 % d'acide acrylique, et D) 0,02 à 0,30 % d'un agent de réticulation qui est un composé ayant au moins deux fractions allyle, la somme des quantités de monomères A à D étant de 100 %.
