PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple-line-reinforcing profile in which features satisfying requirements of one or more different assemblies are simultaneously incorporated, and to provide a single-profiled buttress which can be used on a surgical staple-cartridge assembly and/or a surgical anvil assembly.SOLUTION: A surgical stapling apparatus is equipped with the cartridge assembly, the anvil assembly and a surgical buttress. The respective surgical buttress defines distal attachment for aligning a distal attachment point and position.
