PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental composition which can satisfy conditions required in the aesthetic appreciation property such as the manifestation of an opal effectiveness which is required for a dental restorative material and so forth.
SOLUTION: This dental composition contains a resin matrix monomer, an organic filler, and a titanium dioxide particle of which the average particle size is 0.01 to 0.10 &mum as an inorganic filler. When required, one kind or two kinds or more of inorganic powders being selected from a group of barium glass, alumina glass, potassium glass, silica, synthetic zeolite, a calcium phosphate, feldspar, aluminum silicate, calcium silicate, magnesium carbonate, quartz, a non-porous colloidal silica by the atomized method, a non-porous colloidal alumina, and a non-porous colloidal silica by the wetting method, and/or an organic/inorganic composite filler are used together.
