An aerosol delivery device (1) comprising a mouthpiece end (18)； an aerosolgeneration chamber (16) in fluidcommunication with the mouthpiece end via a primary air channel (3), whereinthe aerosol generation chamber comprises an aerosol sourcefor generating an aerosol from a source material for inhalation by a userthrough the mouthpiece end during use； and a sensor (8) fordetecting when a user inhales on the mouthpiece end, wherein the sensor is influid communication with the mouthpiece end via asecondary air channel (5), and wherein the sensor is located further from themouthpiece end than the aerosol source, and the secondaryair channel bypasses the aerosol generation chamber.
