PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to estimate a psychosomatic state of a person using an EOG electrode-equipped eyewear.SOLUTION: A psychosomatic state estimation apparatus according to one embodiment is used in a device form of an eyewear. A characteristic eye movement (nictitation, eye shutting, up-and-down and to-and-fro eye movement, eye revolution, or the like) of a user wearing the eyewear is detected based on an eye potential (EOG) of the user. The characteristic eye movement and an external stimulation (for example, a stimulation to human five senses in various scenes of a movie or video) when the eye movement is detected are then associated through timecodes or the like with each other and stored to allow comparative examination of the characteristic eye movement and the external stimulation. If correlation between patterns of characteristic eye movements and a user's psychosomatic states (feelings expressions such as cry, laugh, and anger, and volition, mental focusing, fatigue, stress, sleep, and the like) are investigated beforehand, it is possible to estimate what external simulation brings the user to what psychosomatic state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
