PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guidewire which achieves reduced sliding resistance when pulled inside a catheter, inside a tubular organ or inside intracorporeal tissue, and has excellent manipulability for a physician who performs an operation.SOLUTION: Since an area between a proximal end portion of a coiled body 5 and a core shaft 3 is formed into a streamlined shape, it is possible to reduce the sliding resistance in the case of pulling the medical guidewire inside the catheter, inside the tubular organ or inside the intracorporeal tissue, and it is possible to provide the medical guidewire with excellent manipulability for the physician who performs the operation.
