PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf vegetable hair root-cutting device which can preliminarily cut only the unnecessary hair roots of leaf vegetables to sanitarily simplify the subsequent leaf portion-harvesting work, when the leaf vegetables raised in a plant culture plant are harvested. SOLUTION: This device for cutting the hair roots of leaf vegetables comprises panel-carrying means 3, 3 which can support both the longitudinal side ends of a plant-raising panel 2 and carry the panel 2 in the horizontal direction, horizontally rotatable cutter blades 1 which are closely arranged on the back surface of the plant culture panel 2 supported on the panel-carrying means 3, 3, and means 4 for rotating the cutter blades 1. Therein, the blade portions 9 of the blades 1 are disposed in a state capable of being brought into contact with the approximately base portions of the hair roots 13 of the leaf vegetables B raised at the prescribed positions of the panel 2.
