PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer tube for a syringe which enables a user to visually check a long diameter part side and a short diameter part side of a flange of a syringe easily and enables quick loading work of an automatic administration device, and a prefilled syringe using the same.SOLUTION: An outer tube 2 for a syringe includes: an outer tube body part 21 a nozzle part 22 provided on a distal end side of the outer tube body part 21 and a flange 23 which is provided on a proximal end side of the outer tube body part 21 and protrudes outward.
