COPOLYMERS OF 4 VINYLPYRIDINE OR 2 METHYL 5 VINYLPYRIDINE AND N VINYLPYRROLIDONE WITH A TERMINAL RESIDUE OF CYANOVALERIC ACID WHICH ARE SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT OF PNEUMOCONIOSES
This invention relates to the field of biologically active polymer chemistry. Proposed are copolymers of N vinylpyrrolidone containing as terminal fragments a cyanovaleric acid residue and a hydrogen atom and having the general formula (I) where the monomeric unit X is a fragment of 4 vinylpyridine (4 VP) or 2 methyl 5 vinylpyridine (2 M 5 VP) the monomeric unit X content is 20 90 mol% the viscosity average molecular weight Mµ of the copolymers is equal to 10 350 kDa and the acid value is equal to (0.1 5.6)·10 mg /g. Also proposed is a method for treating pneumoconioses in mammals which is characterized in that mammals are administered a therapeutically effective amount of copolymers of formula (I).
