PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and efforts required for creating teacher data in machine learning for image recognition.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus according to the embodiment includes a display, a determination unit, a matching judgment unit, and display control unit. The display displays medical image data that is used as teacher data in machine learning for image recognition. The determination unit determines, according to a user's instruction, a region to which is affixed an annotation that defines a region of the medical image data targeted for the image recognition. The matching judgment unit outputs a result of comparison between the position of the annotation-affixed region in the medical image data and clinical information about the subject of the medical image data.
