Use of at least 1-N-(halo-3-pyridylmethyl)-N-methylamino-1-alkylamino-2-nitroethylene derivative (I) as an active ingredient and a support, for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition to be administered topically for the prevention and/or treatment of flea infestation in pets, is claimed.
