The present invention relates to an anticancer agent comprising a topoisomerase I inhibitor and a fatty acid synthase inhibitor as active ingredients. The anticancer agent according to the present invention remarkably promotes apoptosis of cancer cells compared with treating a topoisomerase I inhibitor or a fatty acid synthase inhibitor alone to cancer cells since the fatty acid synthase inhibitor effectively inhibits the activity of the topoisomerase I inhibitor.본 발명은 회전효소 I 저해제(topoisomerase I inhibitor) 및 지방산합성효소 저해제(fatty acid synthase inhibitor)를 유효성분으로 포함하는 항암제에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 항암제는 지방산 합성효소 저해제가 회전효소 I의 활성을 효과적으로 저해함으로써, 회전효소 I 저해제 또는 지방산 합성효소 저해제를 단독으로 암세포에 처리하는 것과 비교하여 암세포의 세포자멸사를 현저히 촉진시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.
