PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption material which is excellent in good appearance before and after being used.SOLUTION: A water absorption material 1 absorbs a liquid, and comprises granular bodies 10 and a color material 20. The granular bodies 10 has water absorption property and molded into granular shape. The color material 20 is contained in the granular bodies 10. The color material 20 reacts with moisture and then colors a material forming the granular bodies 10 into a predetermined color. Before the water absorption material 1 absorbs a liquid, the color material 20 in a non-reacted state or incomplete reaction state can be viewed.
