A separation system (10) for placing embolic coils in the treatment area of a patient's vascular system, comprising: a flexible and elongated polymer tube (16) having a distal part (18) and a proximal part (20 ); said polymer tube (16) has a tubular wall (22) with an inner surface (24), an outer surface (26) and a primary layer; said distal part (18) of said tubular wall (22) of said flexible polymer tube (16) has a grooved line (28) on at least one of said inner (24) and outer (26) surfaces of the said tubular wall (22); said grooved line (28) has a secondary layer that is smaller than said primary layer; said inner surface (24) of said tubular wall (22) forms an inner duct (30) that crosses said flexible polymer tube (16) from said distal part (18) to said proximal part (20) of the flexible polymer tube; a resistive heating element (48), located adjacent to said grooved line (28) and arranged longitudinally along at least one of said inner (24) and outer (26) surfaces of said tubular wall ( 22) of said distal part (18) of said flexible polymer tube (16); said heating resistive element (48) is configured to supply heat directly to the distal part (18) of the flexible polymer tube (16), adjacent to said grooved line, when the heating resistive element (48) is activated; and a therapeutic embolic coil (32) that is assembled - so that it can be released - to the distal part (18) of said flexible polymer tube (16); said therapeutic embolic coil (32) has a distal end (36) and a proximal end (38), and includes a main part (or trunk) (42) having a distal part (44) and a proximal part (46); the distal part (44) of the main part (42) is attached to the proximal end (38) of the embolic coil (32), and the proximal part (46) of the main part (42) is joined so that it can released to said distal part (18) of said flexible polymer tube (16); said proximal part (46) of the main piece (42) can be detached from said distal part (18) of said tubular wall (22) by heating said distal
