PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment device which applies electric pulses or spikes to a patient to cure the patient.SOLUTION: A device 10 is able to have a series of preset programmed treatments. The treatment can be selected from a menu displayed on a display 100. Before the treatment, the impedance of the skin and underlying tissue to be treated can be measured so as to locate active areas on the skin for treatment. The treatment of the patient who has potential to cause a change in the impedance can be avoided. A phase detector can be used to detect the capacitance value in the impedance. Since the charge delivered to the patient can be measured, the device can adjust the charge as the skin impedance varies during treatment so as to deliver uniform charges to the skin. The device automatically detects the type of probe attached.
