PURPOSE: A Lighting apparatus for increasing the sweetness and accelerating the color development of fruits and vegetables by artificially emitting light having wavelengths necessary for producing antocyanine is provided. CONSTITUTION: A lighting apparatus for increasing the sweetness and promoting the color development of fruits and vegetables comprises the following: a voltage doubler rectifying unit(2) voltage doubling rectifying the voltage supplied through a power cable(1) in 220V AC, and storing the rectified DC voltage in a condenser； a trigger generation unit(3) generating trigger signals； a xenon lamp(4) generating light by the trigger signal and the voltage supplied from the condenser； and a light emission time extending unit(5) including a coil installed in between the voltage doubler rectifying unit and the xenon lamp for extending the light emitting time of the xenon lamp.본 발명은 과일과 채소의 당도 증가와 착색 촉진용 조명장치에 관한 것으로 보다 구체적으로는 전원선(1)을 통해 AC 220V로 공급되는 전압을 배전압 정류하여 그 정류된 DC전압을 콘덴서에 저장하는 배압정류부(2)와； 트리거 신호를 생성하는 트리거발생부(3)와； 배압정류부(2)의 콘덴서에서 공급되는 전압과 트리거발생부(3)에서 송출된 트리거신호에 의해 발광이 이루어지는 크세논램프(4)와； 상기 크세논램프(4)의 발광 시간을 연장하기 위하여 배압정류부(2)와 크세논램프(4) 사이에 코일을 설치한 발광시간연장부(5)로 구성함으로써 과일과 채소의 안토시아닌 생성에 필요한 파장대의 빛을 인공적으로 발광하여 과일과 채소의 성장 과정에서 안토시아닌의 생성을 촉진시켜 당도를 증가시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 과일과 채소 고유의 착색을 촉진시켜 상품성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.
