Es wird ein Verfahren zum Vorbereiten einer wiederholten Intervention an der Haut eines Patienten (P) beschrieben. Bei dem Verfahren werden erste Bilddaten (BD1) von einem Interventionsbereich (B) während einer ersten Intervention an der Haut des Patienten (P) aufgenommen. Auf Basis der erfassten ersten Bilddaten (BD1) werden mindestens zwei Landmarken (LM1, LM2) auf der Haut des Patienten (P) identifiziert. Mit Hilfe der Landmarken (LM1, LM2) als Referenzpunkte wird dann einen Position (POS-I) der ersten Intervention ermittelt. Zudem wird die Position (POS-I) der ersten Intervention und der Landmarken (LM1, LM2) in einer Datenspeichereinheit (DS) abgespeichert. Nachfolgend wird eine Position (BS) der zweiten Intervention auf Basis der gespeicherten Position (POS-I) und der mindestens zwei Landmarken (LM1, LM2) lokalisiert. Es wird auch eine Steuerungseinrichtung (30) beschrieben.
