A baling apparatus for forming bales of fibrous or fluff material comprises a plurality of chambers (60, 62, 64) being movable between a compression location and a discharge location, a compression applicator (92) for applying compression to fibrous or fluff material in a chamber when that chamber is in the compression location and a discharger (94, 96) for discharging a compressed bale of fibrous or fluff material from a chamber when that chamber is in the discharge location. A bale may be compressed whilst another bale is being discharged such that compression and discharge occur in parallel, thereby increasing production.
