PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for inserting the sweet potato seedling, capable of surely receiving sweet potato seedlings from a seedling supplying mechanism, transporting in the ground with planting claws and surely planting the seedlings.SOLUTION: The machine for inserting sweet potato seedlings is designed to transport a sweet potato seedling 50 to the vicinity of a planting mechanism 7 with a seedling feeding mechanism 8, grasp a stem end part with a pair of left and right planting claws 12a and 12b to take out the seedling 50, shake the planting claws 12a and 12b in the vertical directions, thrust the planting claws 12a and 12b into the field and thereby perform planting operation, wherein the pair of the left and right planting claws 12a and 12b are composed so as to open and close with a claw opening and closing mechanism, the trajectory of the planting claws 12a and 12b in taking out the seedlings is almost perpendicularly cross the stem end part, and the moving speed of the planting claws 12a and 12b is slow in taking out the seedlings and quick after taking out the seedlings.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】甘藷苗を苗供給機構から確実に受取り、植込爪で地中に搬送して確実に植え込むことができるようにする。【解決手段】甘藷苗50を苗供給機構8によって植込機構7の近傍まで搬送し、茎端部を左右一対の植込爪12a・12bで掴んで苗取を行い、該植込爪12a・12bを上下方向に揺動させ、植込爪12a・12bを圃場に突入させることで、植込み作業を行う甘藷挿苗機において、前記左右一対の植込爪12a・12bは、爪開閉機構20により開閉する構成とするとともに、植込爪12a・12bの苗取時における軌跡は、茎端部と略直交させ、植込爪12a・12bの移動速度は、苗取時は遅く、苗取後は、速くなるように構成した。【選択図】図5
