PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that extends and contracts along a body of a wearer, and is superior in adhesion, and in which an excreted body fluid is hard to leak in the central part and includes a liquid-absorbing layer having a predetermined absorption performance.SOLUTION: Front and rear side layers 8, 9 have extensibility, and at least one of sheet members constituting the front and rear side layers has stretchability. A liquid-absorbing layer 13 comprises center elongation means 16 and side elongation means 18. The center elongation means intersects with a vertical axis P, and is formed of first slits 15 separated and arranged by a predetermined size in the direction of the vertical axis P. The side elongation means is formed of multiple pair of second slits 17 extending from both side edges 13c, 13d of the liquid-absorbing layer toward the vertical axis P, and separated in the direction of the horizontal axis Q to each other in the vicinity of the vertical axis P.
