PURPOSE: A Sophorae Radix root extract with an activity of preventing firefly is provided to replace agricultural chemical and to ensure excellent prevention activity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Sophorae Radix root extract for preventing firefly comprises: a step of adding Sophorae Radix root to 5-15 times volume of ethane and extracting in the dark for 40-60 hours and filtering to obtain extract a step of concentrating at 30-43°C and a step of freeze-drying the concentrated extract. A composition for preventing firefly contains the Sophorae Radix root extract. The composition further contains Phrethrum flower extract.본 발명은 진딧물방제 활성을 나타내는 고삼뿌리 추출물과 이 추추물을 이용한 진딧물방제에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는 고삼뿌리를 상온에서 암상태로 40~60 시간 에탄올로 추출한 후 여과하여 추출물을 얻고, 이를 감압농축기로 30~43℃에서 농축시킨 후 동결건조시키는 고삼뿌리 추출물의 제조방법과 이렇게 얻어진 고삼뿌리 추출물을 이용한 진딧물방제제 조성물 및 이를 사용하는 진딧물 방제방법이 제공된다. 본 발명에 따른 고삼뿌리 추출물은 단독으로도 방제가 80% 이상의 뛰어난 진딧물방제 활성을 나타내므로, 그간 사용되어온 화학농약을 대체하여 유효한 진딧물방제제로 활용될 수 있다.
