A syringe packaging system, comprising a syringe barrel having a first end, asecond end, and asidewall defining a chamber having an interior； a stopper slidably disposedwithin the interior； aplunger rod having a first end engageable with a portion of the stopper, asecond end, and asealing member disposed adjacent the second end； and a packaging member havinga first end, asecond end, and a sidewall defining a first compartment and a secondcompartment eachextending between the first end and the second end of the packaging member,the firstcompartment for receiving the syringe barrel and the second compartment forreceiving theplunger rod, wherein with the syringe barrel received within the firstcompartment and theplunger rod received within the second compartment, the sealing member of theplunger rodseals the syringe barrel and the plunger rod within the packaging member.
