A re-usable stabilizer (1) for beating heart surgery (OPCAB) comprises of a curved metallic hollow outer tube (2), a matching metallic curved rod (3) which fits ¡nside the tube (2) and a screw (4) for tightening a locking rod (6) positioned in front of the curved metal rod (3). The screw (4) and locking rod (6) together tighten the ball end of a U-shaped suction pod (5) at the distal end of the outer tube (2). Fig.l
