The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus, an image processing method and an ultrasound (US) imaging apparatus having an image processing unit, and more specifically, to a technique to synthesize a computerized tomography (CT) image having breathing phases such as US waves to reduce a matching error generated between breathing phases when matching the US image with the CT image. The image processing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an input unit to receive a CT image in a first breathing phase of an object； a data selection unit to select magnetic resonance image data similar to the object； and an image generation unit to generate a CT image in a second breathing phase of the object from the selected MRI data.본 발명은 영상 처리 장치, 영상 처리 방법 및 영상 처리부가 마련된 초음파 영상 장치에 관한 것으로, US(초음파, Ultrasound)영상과 CT(컴퓨터 단층 촬영기기, Computerized Tomography)영상의 정합에 있어서, 호흡 단계 차이에서 발생하는 정합 오차를 줄이기 위해 US(초음파)와 같은 호흡 단계를 가지는 CT영상을 합성하여 사용하는 기술이다.일 실시예에 따른 영상 처리 장치는, 대상체의 제 1호흡 단계의 컴퓨터 단층 촬영(Computerized Tomography) 영상을 입력받는 입력부, 대상체와 유사한 자기 공명 영상(Magnetic Resonance Image) 데이터를 선택하는 데이터 선택부, 선택된 자기 공명 영상 데이터로부터 대상체의 제 2호흡 단계의 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 영상을 생성하는 영상 생성부를 포함한다.
