The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition including cell-free cord blood as an active ingredient for the prevention or treatment of brain damage. The pharmaceutical composition in the present invention can fundamentally block immunological rejection and graft-versus host disease which can occur from cord blood or cells isolated therefrom such as stem cells and the like.
