The present Invention describes compounds of the formula (i), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters or prodrugs thereof: of which inhibit RNA containing viruses, including hepatitis C virus (HCV). Accordingly, the compounds of the present Invention interfere with the life cycle of the hepatitis C virus and are also useful as antiviral agents.The present Invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds mentioned above for Administration to a subject suffering from hcv infection. The Invention also relates to methods for treating an hcv infection in a subject by administering a Pharmaceutical composition comprising the compounds of the present Invention.La presente invención describe compuestos de la fórmula (I), y sales, ésteres o profármacos farmacéuticamente aceptables de los mismos:los cuales inhiben virus que contienen ARN, en particular el virus de la hepatitis C (VHC). En consecuencia, los compuestos de la presente invención interfieren con el ciclo de vida del virus de la hepatitis C y también son útiles como agentes antivirales.
