The subject of invention is honey with the addition of the concentrated liquid extract from the medicinal species of Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea Moench (purple coneflower), Echinacea pallida Nutt. (pale purple coneflower), Echinacea pallida var. angustifolia DC. (narrow leaf purple coneflower) and the preparation process. Addition of concentrated liquid extract of medicinal Echinacea species to honey does not change significantly physical-chemical and microbiological properties of honey. Honey with the addition of extract of medicinal Echinacea species contains less than 20 w/w % water and with a minimum daily intake, 10 g of honey per day, it contains at least 0.4 mg of phenolic material and at least 0.0025 mg dodekatetraenoic acid isobutylamides (alkamides) per 1 g of honey. Such honey can be used as food supplement or a medicine that strengthens the resistance of the organism and eliminates the symptoms of colds and flu.Predmet izuma je med z dodatkom tekočega koncentriranega ekstrakta iz zdravilnih Echinacea vrst (Echinacea purpurea Moench (škrlatni ameriški slamnik), Echinacea pallida Nutt. Med z dodatkom tekočega koncentriranega ekstrakta iz zdravilnih Echinacea vrst nima bistveno spremenjenih flzikalno-kemijskih ter mikrobioloških lastnosti. Med z dodatkom ekstrakta iz zdravilnih Echinacea vrst vsebuje manj kot 20% vode ter pri minimalnem dnevnem vnosu, 10 g medu na dan, vsebuje najmanj 0,4 mg fenolnih snovi ter najmanj 0,0025 mg dodekatetraenoic acid isobutlamidov (alkamidi) na 1 g medu. Tak med se lahko uporablja kot prehransko dopolnilo ali kot zdravilo, ki krepi odpornost organizma ter odpravlja simptome prehlada ali gripe.
