Specific examples of the compounds include: benzyl 2-chloro-4-[5-chloro-4-(2-methyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-4-yloxy)pyrimidin-2-ylaminol-5-methoxy-benzoate, and 2-chloro-4-[5-chloro-4-(2-methyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-4-yloxy)-pyrimidin-2-ylamino]-5-methoxy-N-(1-methyl-piperidin-4-yl)-benzamide. Compounds of formula (1) act as inhibitors of specific tyrosine-kinases, and are useful for treating diseases connected with the activity of specific tyrosine kinases and characterised by excessive or abnormal cell proliferation. Such diseases include cancer, infections, inflammations and autoimmune diseases.
