A mycotoxin adsorbent of the present invention comprises a Ca-type bentonite having an Si-O stretching vibration in a range of 1041 to 1090 cm-1 as measured by the infrared spectrophotometry and having a median diameter ratio D50(W)/D50(E) in a range of 60 to 110% on the volume basis as measured by the laser diffraction/light scattering method. The mycotoxin adsorbent is obtained from the inexpensive natural bentonite as the starting material, and exhibits excellent adsorptive power not only to aflatoxin but also to zearalenone.本發明之黴菌毒素吸附劑，係由以紅外線分光光度測定之Si-O伸縮振動在1041~1090cm-1之範圍，雷射繞射散射法以體積基準計的中位直徑(median diameter)比D50(W)/D50(E)為60~110%之範圍之Ca型膨潤土構成。此黴菌毒素吸附劑係以低廉之天然膨潤土作為原料，不僅對於黃麴毒素(aflatoxin)，對於玉米赤黴烯酮(zearalenone)也展現優良吸附性。
