The invention provides a disposable wearing article, which can prevent front and rear waist areas from hindering wearing even if the disposable wearing article having the front and rear waist areas and a crutch area between the waist areas is applied as an absorbing pad. The wearing article (1) comprises a front waist area (2), a rear waist area (3), a base sheet (10) on the crutch area, a pair of leakage-preventing cuffs equipped on the body sides of the base sheet, and front and rear wing sheets (30, 40). A waist folding line (80) is formed in the wearing article (1). The front and rear waist areas are folded inwards along the waist folding line (X) in a horizontal way. The waist folding line extends towards two side edges (7) from a front edge and a rear edge (5, 6) and inclines towards an imagined vertical center line (P-P). A waist folding area (81) is formed by folding the front and rear waist areas along the waist folding line. The horizontal lengths of the front and rear waist areas are smaller than that of the crutch area.
