Substance for treatment and/or prophylaxis of tail necrosis of animals, is claimed. The substance is cytostatic and/or cytolytic against endotoxin-producing microorganisms such as Escherichia coli. An independent claim is included for a vaccine for immunization of an organism against a lipopolysaccharide endotoxin and/or against an infection with Gram-negative bacteriums for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of tail necrosis of animals.
