PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of cleaning the periphery of an observation part by jetting water or the like toward the front of an observation window from a jetting port of a forward water supply nozzle without performing bending operation.SOLUTION: An endoscope 1 includes a forward water supply nozzle 15 in which a distal end component member 20 constituting a distal end part 11 of an insertion part 10 with an observation window 12 is provided with a jet opening 35a, an inflow opening 34m, and a water supply passage 33 for communicating the inflow opening 34m with the jet opening 35m. The nozzle 15 includes: the jet opening 35m disposed at the distal end surface and shifted from the central axis 30a of the inflow opening 34m a rotatable nozzle part 30 provided with a rotational thrust generating part in the water supply passage 33 and a nozzle holding part 40 having a longitudinal through-hole 41, for holding the nozzle part 30 so that it can be freely turned around the longitudinal central axis 30a. The distal end component member 20 includes a recessed part 21 which stores the nozzle holding part 40 in a predetermined positional relationship, and which has a distal end side opening 23m on its bottom face 21b.
