In the present invention, anti-BCMA antibodies such as heavy chain variable (V H ) regions and single-chain antibody fragments and BCMA-binding molecules such as antigen-binding fragments thereof, and anti-BCMA binding molecules such as chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) are used. A BCMA-binding molecule comprising a chimeric acceptor is provided. In some embodiments, the anti-BCMA antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof specifically binds BCMA-1. Among the anti-BCMA antibodies are human antibodies and include competing to bind BCMA with a reference antibody such as a non-human reference antibody.
