PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for the environment excellent in odor eliminating effect and deodorizing effect in a living space.SOLUTION: In the deodorant, odor substances are oxidized and decomposed by causing reaction in the presence of an oxidizing catalyst by making a porous body of diatomaceous earth contain and adsorb the component of wood acid. The deodorant has decomposing effect to the decomposition odor of protein, excretory substances of humans and animals and is applicable to deodorize malodor sources from rest rooms, cleaning tanks, vacuum cars, and companies.
