PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root vegetable digging machine suppressing drive resistance low even if high soil pressure acts thereon and capable of easily eliminating sand, etc. having entered thereinto, if any.SOLUTION: In the root vegetable digging machine, rollers 3c of a digging body 3 are held by conveyor side plates 3f erected in the right/left of a belt conveyor. A roller 3c at a front end or plural rollers on a front side including the roller 3c at the front end are held by front side plates 3j separate from the conveyor side plates 3f holding the rollers on a rear side. The front side plates 3j are rotatable vertically with respect to the conveyor side plates 3f with rear sides of the front side plates 3j as a rotation center.
