PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation mat capable of preventing runoff of a vegetation material such as seeds, fertilizer and soil improvement agent caused by rainwater or the like to fix the material on a slope face early, propagating trees and plants for secure greening, and stabilizing the slope face.SOLUTION: A vegetation base body 2 is formed by filling a vegetation base material 4 made up of two or more of special soil, soil improvement material, water holding material, and fertilizer into a cylindrical bag 3 made from a corrosive, decomposable or soluble material. A columnar vegetation body 5 is formed by covering the vegetation base body 2 by a corrosive, decomposable or soluble vegetation promoting sheet 6 in which a vegetation material 7 made up of seeds and fertilizer is adhered on an inner surface 6A.
