PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple and effective means for preventing exclusive mass proliferation of adhesive aquatic organisms.SOLUTION: An aquatic organism adhesion reduction member A comprises a number of flexible synthetic resin-made, thin, elongated pieces 2 erected from a substrate surface 1 of the member A, each piece 2 being 0.4 to 2.0 mm thick, 1.0 to 4.0 mm wide, and 5.0 to 25 mm long. When mounted on a surface of a coastal structure, the member A not only can suppress adhesion and colonization of aquatic organisms to and on the surface of the member A but can also suppress exclusive mass proliferation of a specific species even when aquatic organisms have adhered to and colonized on the surface, thereby preventing deterioration of water quality due to death of aquatic organisms in water area around the coastal structure and deterioration of peripheral environment such as bad order caused by the water quality.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】簡易かつ有効に付着性水生生物の独占的大量増殖を抑制する手段の提供。【解決手段】沿岸構造物の表面に設置する水生生物付着低減部材であって、部材Aの基板面1から、可撓性合成樹脂からなる細長片2が多数立設し、各細長片2が、厚さ0.4~2.0mm、幅1.0~4.0mm、長さ5.0~25mmである水生生物付着低減部材Aを沿岸構造物の表面に設置することにより、水生生物の該表面への付着・定着を抑制できるほか、水生生物が部材Aの表面上に付着・定着した場合であっても、特定の生物種による独占的大量増殖を抑制できるため、沿岸構造物の周辺水域における死亡個体による水質悪化、それに伴う悪臭などの周辺環境の悪化を防止できる。【選択図】図1
