PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel insulin secretion promoter, agent for suppressing the rise of blood sugar level and therapeutic agent for diabetes, and a method for screening these agents.SOLUTION: As a result of research in order to solve the above problem, the inventors newly found out that strong sialidase activity is detected in pancreatic islets, furthermore, also found out that a compound having sialidase inhibitory activity has suppressing effect of the rise of blood sugar level and insulin secretion amount increasing effect, particularly the compound has insulin secretion amount increasing effect in a high concentration glucose state, and achieved the present invention.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】新規なインスリン分泌促進剤、血糖値上昇抑制剤及び糖尿病治療剤、並びにそれらの剤のスクリーニング方法を提供すること。【解決手段】上記課題を解決するために研究した結果、膵島において強いシアリダーゼ活性が検出されることを新規に見出し、さらにシアリダーゼ阻害活性を有する化合物が血糖値上昇抑効果及びインスリン分泌量増加作用を有すること、特に、高濃度グルコース状態でのインスリン分泌量増加作用を有することを見出して、本発明を完成した。【選択図】なし
