PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and a region of interest setting method capable of designating a region of interest with a simple operation and at a high speed.SOLUTION: A two-dimensional image having a continuous positional relation is subjected to animation display, and when an operator performs an instruction input of a position (POI) to be a point of interest to each tomographic image subjected to animation display with a mouse, a CPU respectively reads the coordinates of the POI in each tomographic image subjected to the instruction input. When POI coordinates are continuously specified to each tomographic image in this way, the CPU sets a predetermined range including the read POI coordinates as one ROI group astride a plurality of tomographic images. An image is also generated by an image processing method which is different between the inside and the outside of the ROI group. Therefore, an ROI is set at a high speed with a simple operation during reproducing an animation, and an image can be generated by separating a desired area from the other area.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】関心領域の指定を、操作が容易で、かつ高速に行うことが可能な画像処理装置及び関心領域設定方法を提供する。【解決手段】連続的な位置関係にある2次元画像を動画表示し、操作者が動画表示されている各断層像に対して関心点とする位置(POI)をマウスにより指示入力すると、CPUは、指示入力された各断層像におけるPOIの座標をそれぞれ読み込む。このようにして連続的に各断層像にPOI座標が指定されると、CPUは読み込んだPOI座標を含む所定範囲を複数の断層像に跨る1つのROI群として設定する。また、ROI群の内部と外部とで異なる画像処理方法により画像を生成する。このため動画再生中に簡単な操作で高速にROIを設定し、所望領域とその他の領域とを分離して画像を生成することが可能となる。【選択図】図4
